Sending Kids Back To School During Covid-19


As the upcoming school year approaches, instead of feeling joy and excitement, all I feel is dread. This coming school year I will have a second grader and ninth grader.  I have two days to decide if I am going to send my children back to school five days a week, or enroll them in online classes at home. Both options have serious drawbacks.  I feel like all I have to choose from is a bad option or another bad option.

OUR FOREVER HOME

A year ago, we decided to rent a tiny cottage, while our oldest son finished up at his middle school. There was a housing shortage, and we just weren't ready to purchase a home again. Those of you that know us well, know that while trying to find a forever home, we have had a time of it! Terrible neighbors, wrong school zones, inconvenient locations...you name it! At the beginning of this year, we started the search for our perfect home.

The Fourth-2020



This year's holiday was shaped by the current pandemic, AKA Covid-19, and was very different than most Fourth of July's in the past. Social distancing is still needed, and so our city's fireworks were cancelled. My seven year old (Colton), was the most disappointed of all!
